How to Change Your Windshield Wiper Blades
If you want optimum visibility at all times, you need to be prepared for heavy rain showers. A pair of new windshield wiper blades is key to driving in the rain. It’s easy to change your windshield wiper blades, and it will make all the difference the next time you drive in the rain.
Buying New Wiper Blades.
You can find out which type of wiper blades your vehicle needs by looking in the owner’s manual or stopping at an auto parts store. Employees can use the make, model, and year of your vehicle to get you the right size blades.
Out with the Old.
To take off the old wiper blades, you’ll need to pull the wipers up so that they’re vertical. Remove the old blades by pushing the little tab were the blade meets the arm until you are able to pull the blade down towards the windshield and off of the arm. During this step it’s a good idea to put a towel down on the windshield to protect the glass in case one of the arms should snap down.
In with the New
You will attach the new wiper blade just as you took the old one off. Slide it up into place and gently pull up until you hear the tab click into closed position.
